This morning I went on Facebook and liked CVS and scored a free body wash. I also printed a (.50 off 2) 3 Musketeers coupon. I ventured to my local CVS and found that my free body wash had a $1.00 off coupon attached. I was thirsty so I picked up a bottle of tea for $1.00 and went to check out. My total for the above was $1.06! I also received one ebo (extra buck offer) for .75 from the candy and a $2.00 off coupon for health care items. Not bad!
I have been using coupons on and off since before it was so popular. A young mother to be at my job has gotten me excited about coupon deals again. I am usually a girl that will buy store brand over name brands to save money unless there is a significant savings. Today it was worth it without buying a Sunday paper. I went to Walmart and purchased $25.08 worth of name brand products that I use for $5.08 ($6.19 after taxes)
This year my boys participated in one of our local kids fun run. My 10 year old placed 9th! And my 7 year old who really didn’t want to at first placed 12th! We all ran thru the rain, my oldest pushed the youngest in the stroller. We couldn’t keep up.
It was fun. They already asked if they can do it again next year.
I know last week I only showed four days into teacher appreciation. On Friday I went to my oldest sons school were he is a senior and I am the PTSA treasurer and hosted a breakfast for the entire staff. We served assorted danishes, cinnamon rolls, OJ, apple juice, water, coffee, fruit and yogurt. We also laid out candy and granola bars that read “teachers can’t live on apples alone, they need chocolate too!” I printed toppers from Living Locurto and decorated everything.
Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful mothers out there. This is my second year celebrating without my mother, but I made it thru. So far I have spent my day first with breakfast made by my boys and received gifts, second we went to church, then we came home and I prepped the dinner that I wanted them to fix for me ;), I took a nice nap and caught up on Scandal (it is so addictive).
I found a recipe that is literally easy as pie. It took 2 ingredients and a store bought pie crust and it is delicious!
I used 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 cup of lemon juice (you can use more or less depending on how tart you like it). Combine the two and mix well. Pour into pie crust and your done. I added some homemade whipped cream and put it in the refrigerator.
This easy pie cost me $1 for the crust (from the Dollar Tree) and I always have lemon juice in the frig ($1 from the Dollar Tree) and $1.19 for the sweetned condensed milk from Aldi = $2.19. Talk about a budget dessert.
Happy Mothers Day and ENJOY!
So today I headed over to Nothing But Country for this cute little tag. I stopped by my local Aldi’s and purchased the knock off version of Mento for .99 (4 in a pack) 16 appreciation gift for 3.96 and they are so darn cute!
